The University of Michigan-Flint’s College of Innovation & Technology hosted a project kickoff for phase one of the new Innovation and Technology Complex, June 13. A bevy of dignitaries attended the event, including UM-Flint Interim Chancellor Donna Fry, University of Michigan Regent Michael Behm, CIT Dean Christopher Pearson, Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley and Mott Foundation Program Director Kimberly Roberson. Featuring 14,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art instructional laboratories designed to encourage collaboration and interdisciplinary research, the complex will support existing STEM pathways as well as forthcoming academic degrees in artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, human-centered design, and electrical & computer engineering, among others. To learn more, click here.
